Every participant of the OTTER has to either wear a Race Bib, which will be provided at registration at no cost, or a custom branded Race Shirt which can be purchased from the organisers.
Please note – every athlete will receive a complementary Salomon
Otter Shirt with your Goodie Bag. However the Goodie Bag shirt
does not replace the compulsory wearing of the race bib.

Race Bibs
Race Bibs have to be worn on the outside of your race gear at any stage of the race (and prologue). Race Bibs will be collected by the race organiser at the finish line of the OTTER.
Race Shirts
Race Shirts will have to be purchased (R499). The Race Shirt is a technical garment with a aircool radiator membrane in the back zip in the front. Race Shirts will be personalised with a race number.
In case the athlete is wearing a rain jacket (or similar) above the race shirt – a Race Bib will have to be worn on the outside.
Personal sponsors
Sponsored athletes have the option to include their personal sponsors onto the race shirt (@ R150). Sponsor’s Logos have to be submitted in 1-colour as a vectorised file (eps, pdf, ai).

The Otter African Trail Run The Otter Run presented by Salomon and GU has been dubbed “the Holy Grail of Trail Running.” At 42km it is a full trail marathon that traverses South Africa’s most iconic hiking trail; the Otter Trail, arguably one of the most beautiful trails on the planet. The Otter Run is the only time when trail running is permitted on the Otter Trail.
